Today’s lecture was talked about “Performance Art”. This topic has been related with body language, sound effect and visual impression. It also used various properties for the actions. In my opinion, I like Frank Fu very much, his works have represented the “new style in century 21th”.Such as, the funny movement and posture by using the body combined with his work “Pompidou.” An actress wore the white costume which was same as Frank Fu, and she sat on both of his legs, the movement has shown the sexual meaning between male and female and the human’s natural instincts.
Furthermore, I like “The Asian Bubble,” this work looked abnormal and strange. A man was using the kind of bubble machine ( I have never seen before) and he used tube to insert into his bottom, it looked silly and funny, and another tube had spurted the bubble out ,after that he added some techniques to modify the composition which were looked more like a Photoshop creation . It was an imaginative and creative design, that few people could invent or make it. Overall, Frank Fu has done a great job by using media work and visual art. No matter his droll expression. He has represented a main potential and talent in his art.
After all, Frank Fu still keeps doing his performing art all over the world, his masterpiece has been showed on national stage, people can watch his work in public museum, or gallery. Each display is a challenge and stimulation for him to improve his own work and recreate a new idea, new style in art .
